McPherson Takes lead in Houston

Houston, TX. - As the darkness became a factor the game was halted at the Houstonian Country Club course. Terrantial rain had been the domanating force at this season ending LPGA tour event on Friday and Sunday. At this golf tournament the South Korean Shin who is the rookie of the year is trying to take the Player of the year and Vare Trophy. The last time this was achieved was 1978 by the famous Nancy Lopez.

Shin Commented on Sunday: “I have a good shot at it and ist's going to be very close. It will be the most important day of my life.

With McPherson playing a 67, while still on the course South Korean Shin was seven-under for the tournament with two holes remaining as the play was stopend due to darkness.
