Day takes PGA Byron Nelson Championship

Jason DayJason Day, 22, has gone through a rough patch for the past couple of years, since his win as the youngest Nationwide Tour winner at 19. However, he fought through health problems on Sunday to finish with a final round of 2-over 72, which was enough to give this Australian his first PGA Tour win with a final score of 10-under 270.

Then there was this 16 year old high school junior, Jordan Spieth, the Junior Amateur champion, who caught everyone's attention, when he pulled within three of the lead in the final round, but finished in a tie for16th. He also shot 2-over 72 for the final round and his final score of 4-under 276 was six back.

Spieth indicated that he plans to finish high school and play for the University of Texas. However, had he turned pro this week, he would have earned $91,185.71for his finish. Spieth is definitely a name to remember in the future.
